Re: Formatting HD's (Fat, Fat32, NTFS...?)?

I looked, but i didn't find any firmware updates.

Have you contacted the Raidsonic support yet?
Perhaps they know about this problem.

Stephan

Hi,
We are now one year later, and at IB they are still saying that it should work. They tell me to remove all my disks and one by one remove alle information and partition info.
Then it should work...
yeah right. I have all my backups on there, and furthermore last time I did that several times...

I believe the problem lies with the JMS539 bridge. This bridge has been, and still is, detective in that it does not support usb3 as announced.
And neither raidsonic nor jmicron have given me any replies!
Absolute scandalous!

Re: Formatting HD's (Fat, Fat32, NTFS...?)?

Strange, because i had it working with USB 3.0 on Windows 8 and 10.

Finally I was getting somewhere. In the end I could set up the IB. but in order to manage the complete volume (21tb after raid5) I had to format in NTFS, since ext4 could not handle volumes larger than 16tb.

You wrote in an earlier post, that you had it working with Windows 10.
So maybe the Problem is with the NAS you are trying to connect it to.
Have you tried contacting the manufacturer of the NAS? Perhaps it's a
known issue.

Stephan
